Accessibility Statement.

Effective Date: 10-03-2025

Last Updated: 04-06-2025

At LUME ART LTD, we are committed to ensuring that our digital platform, communications, and overall brand experience are accessible to as many users as possible, including those with disabilities. Accessibility is not only a legal obligation for us under UK law, but also a reflection of our deeper values: inclusivity, dignity, and thoughtful design.

1. Our Commitment

We strive to make www.lumeart.co.uk usable and enjoyable for all visitors, including those who rely on assistive technologies, have reduced motor ability, low vision, colour blindness, or cognitive processing differences. As a design-driven business, we believe that accessibility enhances — rather than limits — the luxury and sophistication of the LUME experience.

2. Website Compliance and Structure

We follow the principles and requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, aiming for Level AA conformance, which includes:

• Clear and consistent navigation hierarchy

• Sufficient text contrast to ensure readability

• Logical HTML heading structure for screen readers

Alt text applied to all essential images

Responsive layout for compatibility across screen sizes and devices

• Avoidance of fast animations, auto-playing content, or blinking elements

• Full compatibility with keyboard-only browsing

3. Visual Design & Typography

To ensure visual accessibility:

• We use clean sans-serif fonts for body text for high legibility

• Headings are distinct, properly spaced, and styled for clarity

• Font sizes are scalable via browser settings

• Text is left-aligned and avoids justified formatting to reduce visual strain

• Backgrounds and foregrounds are selected for high contrast across the site

• All essential information is conveyed in text form and is not reliant on colour alone

4. Online Interaction & Contact

We have taken measures to make interaction with our brand inclusive:

• Our consultation booking system is compatible with assistive technologies such as screen readers and magnifiers

• Interactive forms have clear labels, keyboard accessibility, and intuitive error handling

• We offer email-based customer service for those who prefer or require written communication

• All clients may request accessible PDFs or text formats for invoices, tree planting certificates, or order confirmations

5. Consultation Accessibility

We currently offer online consultations only. These take place via accessible platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet. While we do not yet provide live transcription or sign language interpretation, we are happy to:

Respond in writing via email for pre- or post-consultation summaries

• Offer clear, structured presentations using visual aids and on-screen support materials

• Provide pre-recorded product walk-throughs with closed captions (upon request)

If you require adjustments or additional explanation, please let us know in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate.

6. Limitations & Areas for Ongoing Improvement

While we make every reasonable effort to meet accessibility best practices, certain limitations currently exist:

• We do not offer Braille materials, tactile formats, or in-person accessibility aids at this time

• Custom artworks and packaging are visual in nature, and alternative sensory versions are not currently available

• Certain 3D renderings or interactive elements on future site expansions may be less accessible to legacy assistive technologies, although we are working to include fallback descriptions and support

We are actively reviewing these limitations with the goal of broadening our accessibility over time.

7. Feedback and Support

We welcome feedback from all users, particularly those who encounter barriers while using our website or services. We treat all accessibility feedback as high-priority and are committed to resolving issues in a timely, respectful manner.
